I would extend with 10-12cm MB 733 or Statement 724.
I've done it on several 733s, the results are excellent zander rods, with 7-18g jigs + plastic.

Hey, I'm new on this forum - I've read it, but not as a member. In regards to MB 764-1 X-Ray I can tell you that is one of the few JWR specific blanks from NFC. I own one in spinning and one in casting, both being adjusted to the tip in order to gain a little more stiffness for jigging in big rivers...
