6. Refusal of Damaged Packages: 
1. In case of receiving a damaged package, it is imperative to provide maximum details about the broken items. The reservations must be: 
1. Written: stated at the time of delivery. 
2. Complete: only damages mentioned in the reservations will be considered to exist at the time of delivery. Items reported later cannot be considered. 
3. Accurate: describing delivery anomalies and damages suffered by the merchandise (not exclusively the packaging) with references, names of affected parts, points of impact, etc. It is strongly advised to open the package in the presence of the carrier before validating the receipt of the package.
2. Damage is considered apparent when the recipient can observe it through a quick examination and normal means (opening the packaging is a normal inspection method). 
3. French jurisprudence recognizes the recipient's right to perform an internal check of shipments offered for delivery. The recipient merely needs to exercise this right for the damage to become immediately apparent.
