A fairly light blank in the hand, well balanced without feeling heavy in the head. The action is rather soft, with just the right amount of roundness in the return to the hand. The power increases significantly, but always smoothly, from the first third to arrive at a level ideal for a 9wt in the lower section. In use, it is a very well made rod: good liveliness with very little tip bounce, which gives nice easy loops. A very good proposition for those who need distance, and to be able to send large streamers away in the wind. It is the ideal choice for an all-rounder, estuary and boat seabass rod. In particular, it will admit very easily changes of line, it will be perfectly at ease with a wf8 when you need to be discreet, but it can also pass in force a big shooting head. It is also a rod that will work well for pike, especially in the summer, when you don't prefer very big streamers but rather poppers/gurglers
Proven by our expert field testers, Rodbuilders' Republic has created an affordable and uncompromising line for the avid fly fisherman. Built from 40T carbon, the feedback is unanimous: "balanced", "lively", "easy to handle", "very good casters". Covering fishing from #3 to #9, this series allows everyone to fully immerse themselves in a wide range of techniques: trout, grayling, shad, chub, mullet, bass, pike. For everyone, and in all environments - from small streams, to the sea, to reservoir fishing.
