Shore fishing for seabass

Even though the fish are often right beneath you, when shoreline fishing your first priority is casting distance. So we went with fairly long blanks of 2.43 m. Not only will a long rod enable you to cast far, it will also reduce the chances of your line getting tangled on the seabed or shore. Plus it will allow you to cast high if there are waves. A longer rod is unwise as it will quickly grow heavy and unwieldy. All three blanks in this range are from NFC, selected for their casting capacity, solidity and vibration

1. The SJ 803-1 IM 2.43 m 5-15 g (up to 20 g) is meant for finesse fishing with soft plastics or small swimbaits. It also shines with weightless lures.
2. With its great vibration, good handling and casting and stiff butt, the MB 805-1 HM 2.43 m 10–30 g will help you handle almost any situation. Whether you’re fishing in the surf, on a reef or above an oyster bed, it will excel in bringing lures of 10–30 g to life. Most shore fishing lures fall within this weight range.
3. The MB 807 HM 2.43 m 15–50 g is best suited to moving water and/or currents. Often used for boat fishing, it really comes in handy when angling from the edge of a reef or when the current speeds up and you need to cast a heavier lure farther. It can also serve to cast jigs for big-game fishing.
