Responsive blanks for demanding fishing

In order to practice this type of fishing, where we are mainly looking for trout and grayling, we need blanks that will meet a demanding set of specifications. You have to cast a small nymph quickly and accurately on a long, thin leader. Manoeuvrability plays a role when you have to deploy a long leader in a crowded environment. Although the blank is nervous, it should also be able to hold nice fish on fine to very fine nylon diameters.

1. Rodbuilders Republic LighHouse 864: 8'6'' 4 line. Its lightness and handling are off the charts. It is an easy to fish blank with a fabulous responsiveness. It excels at quickly pulling out a long, thin leader, accurately setting up a lightly weighted nymph and letting it drift naturally towards the target fish. It reacts very well to the strike and has an excellent hold on the fish. This is THE blank for grayling and fine trout fishing.
2. MHX F905 : 9' 5" line, an extremely well balanced blank. It gives a top action rod, with a pleasant roundness, capable of great versatility. Powerful enough but also light enough to handle any fishing situation with aplomb.
3. North Fork Composite FAF 904 : 9' 4/5 line. Very light and powerful, this blank is above all a blank that shines with the control it offers. With a rather dry tip action, extremely lively whip, high line speed and accurate landing, this is a rod for fishing for big fish on slightly stronger leaders. It is a rod capable of ultra-fast strikes. It will also be formidable for dry fly fishing at medium and long distances.
