    • Fishing in inaccessible areas

    It is possible to fish in kayaks up to 2 miles from a shelter and in multi kayaks up to 6 miles. With the advent of non-paddle propulsion kayaks (blades, propellers, motors), some areas have become more easily accessible to "fisherfolk". But on the whole, PEK is oriented towards finesse and edge fishing. It is in these conditions, with the discretion and precision of the drifts that the kayak brings an advantage compared to the boat. As with all fishing, shore fishing requires a maximum of knowledge for maximum efficiency. Low tides then become a terrible asset in the knowledge of the bottom and substrate. Clearly, on these areas, the bass come to take advantage of the warm waters and eat crab, shrimp and other small fish. When it is present, it is rarely inactive and not very fussy in these attacks.

    Fishing is done with both hard and soft lures and rarely more than 2 rods are taken in a kayak. So you should opt for rods that are complementary and versatile. Concerning the size of the rods, at the beginning of the PEK, the fashion was for very short rods, less than 2 metres. There is a tendency to come back to longer rods in the end. It allows you to throw further, to better control the lure on the way down, to be more efficient on the shoeing and to go around the kayak more easily in combat.

    1. NFC MB 702 HM, 2m13, 5-20g. The blank to have when only one rod is carried. It allows you to correctly animate most lures between 5 and 20g (depending on the animation) when casting and up to 40g vertically at sea.
    2. NFC SJ732-1 X-RAY, 2.21m, 5-15g, a resonant blank, the latest of the NFC workshops, with a large power reserve, particularly well adapted for the animation of fine lures.
    3. NFC MB 733-1 X-RAY, 2,21 m, 7-28 gr, a slightly more muscular version of the previous one for when the 5" shad is required. Very versatile and remarkably well balanced blank.
