Gilthead bream by boat

There are several techniques for fishing Gilthead bream by boat. The two main ones are tenya andsliding assemblies. For Tenya fishing, any lure rod with a minimum power of 10-30gr will do the job, but ideally with a soft tip to avoid arousing the distrust of this sparid. Longer rods, between 7.6'' (2m28) and 8'' (2m43), are used for sliding Assembly fishing. This makes it easier to cast assemblies, which are often long, and to have good reach when hooking, as this sparid has a particularly hard jaw. They are also more powerful, as the average sinker used for this technique is around 70gr. Of course, the lead depends on the fishing area. That's why we've chosen 2 different blanks. Please note, however, that when you cast this Assembly, you don't whip as you would with a lure, so the power range may be slightly exceeded.

1. Snapper Neast 84VS:2m13, 30-130g: Sold under the Rodbuilders' republic brand, this One-piece blank was developed by North Fork Composites specifically for Tenya sparid fishing to our specifications. Its length of 2m13 is perfectly adapted to the vertical/diagonal fishing practised from a boat and allows you to fish for hours without tiring. Carbon Blank on IM base.
2. NFC MB 765-1 X-Ray Neo :2m29, 20-60g: A new hybrid blank. It features X-Ray carbon technology but benefits from a Zentron fibreglass tip. This tip gives flexibility and therefore helps to deceive dorados. Don't be afraid to throw sinkers over 60gr. If you don't whip, you can exceed the power range without any problem.
3. NFC MB 809 HM :2m43 30-80g: A powerful blank, capable of casting weights up to 120gr (without whipping). Its power reserve is monstrous and will allow you to bridle a beautiful fish even if it leaves in a current vein. The high modulus carbon provides maximum information. The hardest part will be differentiating between the lead rolling along the bottom and the fish's discreet bites.
