Nymphing, or euronymphing, requires a long and light rod, able to cast with ease a rig of two weighted nymphs, control their drift, and feel their behaviour in the water.

A specific requirement for nymphing blanks is sensitivity. A good nymphing blank should let you feel contacts with the bottom and even the subtler of takes.

By their geometry and their lightness, the Lighthouse blanks offer a fantastic sensitivity, even with light rigs. When defining the requirements for the blanks, we had in mind that when one is nymphing, a suddent hatch may induce a switch to dry flies. In other situation, one may want to cover water with a big dry and a nymph in tandem.

The blank should therefore offer good casting performance. With a lively and crisp action and a very good tip control, our blanks are excellent casters, especially on light lines. Our blanks are designed, in size, power and action, to fit perfectly the typical waters that are fished in Europe. The smooth flashless sanded finish allows for stealthy fishing, which is vital when targeting weary fish at short range.
