In this case, you could check out the MHX SJ843 which are similar to the 706 but less expensive.

Tanks Islou!
That's more like it in terms of value. Then maybe I can make a dollar or two building a handfull of them. I made a MHX rod some years back now, think it was a mag bass blank up to 3/4 lb casting rate, and it turn out alright. Nothing that got me fired up but got the job done by the water. I've seen a white saltwater version of the MHX SJ843, have you or anyelse tried it and are the two versions the same?

Tanks!
Took a look at your blog. Really nice rods you are building and a lot of bling bling reels as well. And those great seabass your catchin.... I wish we had those here in Scandinavia more often och the large sizes you guys have in the sun. Here we catch them on flyrods now and then and when about 2 kg they give you a good fight.

Hi Slaz,
I've checked out your blog ! Nice contents, nice rods and a lot of tips used for building your rods. Thanks for the link :)

I was really interested by your feedback about the 68MX. Is it the new or older one ?

And your discussion about the two legs fly rings could interest the Moutch ! ^^
